General

Just who exactly are fluxcard?

Fluxcard have been in business since 2000, providing quality, legal novelty identification. Our staff have many years experience in printing and related actvities.

Are your cards cheaper than other companies?

Surprisingly our cards are the same or cheaper prices than our competitors, with "extras" such as holograms or overlays priced extra on most cards. Our premium card ranges are priced higher of course, but these are at the cutting edge of fake id technology at the moment and are unsurpassed by any other.

Why should I buy from fluxcard?

It's quite hard to answer this question without coming across as insincere! We have been around since 1996, we were the first company to issue PVC cards. We have constantly led the way in terms of innovation and quality. Our cards are consistently original, and originality really helps the cards we sell. None of our cards are copies of any existing cards.

Are your card designs convincing and effective?

We cannot really comment on the effectiveness of our cards, as it would imply that there are other uses for our cards apart from novelty use. All our cards are for novelty use only, and are not sold as identity cards. Do not purchase a card from fluxcard for any other use than novelty, as this would be illegal.

What countries do you sell cards to?

We sell to all countries worldwide apart from the following:
• The USA, it's colonies, dependencies, military stations, outlying islands or any territory claimed by the USA so far this year.
• Iran, Iraq, North Korea
• Libya, Mexico, Nigeria

Do any of your cards have holograms?

Some of our cards have metallic print or foil holograms. Unlike other companies, these holographics are supplied standard at no extra cost.

How do I know I won't get scammed?

There are around 150 fake id sites on the net, about 20 of which are based in the UK. 5 or so of these are total scammers, but the rest are genuine sites. The nature of the internet guarantees that you can find out who is a scammer fairly quickly. Check the net for "fluxcard scam" and you will get no results, which would go some way to proving it.

Will these cards work?

All cards we sell are for novelty use only, they cannot be used for any other purpose. All cards sold by fluxcard.com are novelty cards, not identity cards.

What's the story with the pictures on the cards?

We like to have a theme running through each of our card ranges. In previous years, we have used ranges of different images. In 2001 it was famous economists, 2003 it was famous mathematicians, reflecting the geek background of the founder of fluxcard. 2004-2005 it was the Legends of Rock..Led Zeppelin. 2005 – 2006 was the lovely Liv Tyler, to salute her overall babeness. Schwing!

Last year it was the turn of masters of cheezy goodness, Robert Goulet, Barbara Streisand, Tony Bennett, Paul Anka, Johnny Mathis, Engelbert Humperdinck and last but not least, Barry Manilow!2008 was Uncle Chop Chop! Careful, he'll fucking kill you!

This year it's the cuddly Anton Chigurh a emotionless, compassionless killing machine.

Card Design and Construction

What is the card production process?

When you order a card, all the details you enter into the form are stored in a database in our server. We then match forms and payment received in the post to the database. All valid cards (those with payment and photo enclosed) are then printed on that day. We make a scan of your application form, this is stored on our servers.
Your photo is cropped from the form and edited, in some cases removing the background from your photo. This is then stored on our server, where it is matched to your order record, then printed. Cards are then checked and treated with any special finishes such as holographic overlay, then packed.

Are these kit cards, do I have to put my own photo on?

No, the age of ID cards in kit form passed in 1992 and we're not going to insult our customers by offering them!

How are the cards printed?

All of the information that does not change from card to card, e.g. the background graphics and text are preprinted using a lithographic process. These are ISO standard cards which are printed in the same way that credit cards are printed. We maintain a stock of each type of card in our range. The print quality of these cards are second to none, no other supplier of cards prints their product in this way. See printing technical specifications for more details. The cards are personalised using a Fargo HDP printer, which can personalise both sides of the card in one go. HDP printed cards are far superior to normal thermal printed cards.

Fargo is a registered trading name of Fargo Electronics. We are not associated with them in any way. Fargo Electronics do not endorse such use of their printers.

Card Delivery

How long does it take for cards to be delivered?

The delivery time of cards depends on the following:

  • Time taken to get order delivered to our processing office
  • Time to print cards
  • Time to deliver printed card back to your address.
  • Typically this delivery time can vary between 3 and 10 days.

A note on competitor's claims:

Next Day delivery means that the cards are printed the same or next day the order is received. It is completely unrealistic to claim that a card can be delivered within one or two days of sending off the order. Common sense should prevail here - it's simply not possible to move something through the postal system that quickly.

What are the cards posted in?

The cards are enclosed in a piece of A4 card folded in three, which has text and graphics printed on it, making it difficult to see or feel what is inside. This card is then wrapped with your application form, which is then placed in a window envelope. All you can see from the outside is your address as printed on the form. The envelope has a airmail logo printed on it plus a return address.. This is to ensure that if your letter is lost in the post it gets returned to us.

A note on sterling payments:

Ordering information

How do I order a card?

For instructions on ordering a card, please see this section

What kind of photo do I need to send?

The better quality your photo is, the better it will look on your card. We will touch it up to the best of our efforts using photoshop, but we cannot work miracles. Please try to send us a photo taken in a passport photo booth, this will give the best quality.

Photographs taken from nights out, scanned and reprinted colour pictures will all look substandard and should be avoided if it all possible. Your photo is not returned with your card. Your photograph and signature are destroyed by secure shredding on site.

Do I need to send a stamped address envelope?

No, we feel it's a little insulting to charge £15 or whatever and then ask for an envelope or stamp!

Will you release my details to any third party?

No we do not sell your details in any way. Cardholder records including a scan of your form, cropped photo and signature are stored for about 6 months on a secure server not connected to the Internet.
Please note that we are under legal obligation to release details about your order if specifically requested for your record by law enforcement officers with a court order, but this would only occur if you were in trouble with the law.

Our cards are for novelty use only.

Are there any discounts for ordering more than one card?

Yes, there are, please have a look at our fake id prices page.

Legal Issues

How can you make these cards legally?

We can make and sell these cards legally because they do not infringe on any existing copyrights held on any identity cards or other existing documents, trademarks etc. The cards provided are not identity cards, they are novelty cards.

None of the cards we sell are illegal to buy or possess, but it is illegal to use these cards to lie about your age and status. Another way to look at this is that if you were to apply for a driving licence from the DVLA or other issuing authority, and you gave false information, you would be committing an offence, but the issuing authority would not be guilty of any crime as they took the details you supplied to be genuine.

When you apply for a card you sign the application form, by doing so you indicate your acceptance and understanding of the terms and conditions applicable to the sale of our cards.

Once again, for those at the back. All cards sold by fluxcard.com are novelty cards and are not Identity Cards. The cards are entirely useless for any purpose other than novelty use.

What is novelty use?

Is this illegal?

No, it is not illegal, but the potential exists for some types of fake ID to be used in an illegal manner. Similar to the way that screwdrivers are not illegal, but could be used as a weapon in the wrong hands. Or cheesegraters, for another example.

There are harsh penalties for misrepresentation, obtaining goods and services by deception.

Can I get into trouble with these cards?

Buying and possessing these cards is not illegal. However, using these cards to misrepresent your age, status or any other aspect of your status is illegal. Common misuses of legitimate, state issued identity documents include buying alcoholic products while underage, buying cigarettes while under the legal age, entering a licenced premises while under the prescribed age limit. All these misuses are serious transgressions of the law, and are punishable severely under law.

Mistakes and Returns

What happens if there's a mistake on my card?

If you receive your card and you spot a mistake which is our fault, we will replace your card. The letter that arrives with your card outlines how to return the card. What happens if I made a mistake when ordering? If you make a mistake on your form, please go back to the start of the order process. Otherwise we will simply print your card with the mistakes on it. Please do not alter the form by hand, as we use the database record for printing and the mistakes will still be printed.

Fluxcard will not change data supplied by a customer on their behalf.
